laphamsquarterly: Only five known copies of the Gettysburg Address, delivered on November 19, 1863, are known to exist. One of these copies, held by the National Archives, is the only known pre-address copy, and features notations by Abraham Lincoln himself, suggesting he rewrote parts of the speech while in Gettysburg.
